Shelley Alonso-Marsden, Ph.D. is the American Psychological Association Minority Fellowship Program Postdoctoral Fellow for 2017-2019. She is completing her postdoctoral training with the University of New Mexico Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, where she provides outpatient psychotherapy with children and adolescents with trauma exposure through the UNM ACTION Clinic. She also provides inpatient testing and therapy with the UNM Children’s Psychiatric Center. Shelley originally hales from Denver, Colorado and she completed her PhD in clinical psychology at Duke University in May 2017. Shelley’s clinical and research interests include interventions for childhood externalizing problems, mental health disparities and policies, and barriers to treatment for racial and ethnic minority families.
