FitzGerald, Courtney

Courtney FitzGerald is an Associate Scientist at the UNM Prevention Research Center. Courtney has more than 10 years’ experience working in education, health, and mental health settings with children and adolescents. Her recent work has been primarily in the fields of behavioral health surveillance and community-engaged research. She works on the New Mexico Youth Risk and Resiliency Survey, part of the CDC’s Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS), and RAPS – the Risk & Resiliency Assessment Project for Students. She also assists with the New Mexico SNAP-Ed and Healthy Here evaluation studies. She is enthusiastic about helping community partners use data to drive the community agenda and develop strong, effective programs that meet the community’s needs. Courtney holds a Master of Science in Social Work degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Public Health degree from UNM
