Ferguson, Jeannette

Jeannette Ferguson attained Summa Cum Laude in 2007 from the University of New Mexico (UNM) Department of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry. She studied the inflammatory NFkB pathway in renal disease and breast cancer while looking at natural compounds to inhibit this pathway as an undergraduate, as a research technician, and as a medical student. She graduated medical school in 2013 from UNM. She completed General Psychiatry Residency at the University of Arizona in 2016. She completed a Child/Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship in 2018 from UNM. She is currently an Associate Professor at UNM’s Child Psychiatry Hospital where she manages an inpatient unit comprised if 5-12-year-old acute children. She is also a consultation psychiatrist for school-based health clinics in Albuquerque. She hopes to help to improve psychiatric care integration across New Mexico
