Brown, Christine

Christine Brown has nearly twenty years of public health experience, including program planning, implementation and evaluation and adoption of population-level evidence-based approaches to reduce the risk of chronic disease. She is the current program manager of the New Mexico Department of Health’s Comprehensive Cancer Program where she provides leadership and support to partners engaged in cancer prevention and control and other chronic diseases, with a focus on addressing issues of health equity. In addition, Christine has led outreach and education efforts of the Department’s Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program, has worked to increase sustainability of the National Diabetes Prevention Program, and has coordinated policy, education and advocacy approaches to reduce tobacco use among New Mexicans. She holds an MS in Health Education and is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES).
