Rachel White, MA Ed
Session #62

Rachel White is an English as a second language (ESL) teacher at Highland High School in Albuquerque. She has been working with beginning level ESL students for over ten years. She was employed as a teacher at the Nahed Chapman New American Academy, a nationally recognized newcomer center for refugees and new immigrants to the United States, while she attended graduate school in St. Louis, Missouri. Rachel has worked extensively with refugees and new immigrants through volunteer organizations and teaching as a K-12 teacher in four school districts across the country. She earned her BS in elementary education and her BA in Spanish from the University of New Mexico and her MA Ed. in secondary education- TESOL from the University of Missouri- Saint Louis. She was recently accepted into the Language, Literacy, and Sociocultural Studies Doctoral Program at the University of New Mexico.
