Danielle Reed, MA, is the sexual violence epidemiologist and program evaluator for the NM Department of Health. Ms. Reed’s work includes collecting, analyzing, and disseminating data related to sexual and intimate partner violence in New Mexico. They work with rape crisis centers and other anti-violence organizations throughout the state to evaluate the impact of efforts to prevent sexual violence, and use the resultant evaluation data to shape statewide prevention initiatives. Ms. Reed received a master’s degree in applied psychological research from Penn State University in 2010. She has spent her public health career designing, implementing, and evaluating prevention initiatives that prioritize reducing health disparities by addressing social determinants of health. Ms. Reed serves on the NMDOH Health Equity Work Group, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Rape Prevention and Education Planning Committee, the NMDOH Transgender Data Work Group, and the NM Sexual Violence Prevention Leadership Team.
